This week we received a cheque from Waitrose, Yateley, for the marvellous amount of £540.

Waitrose Community Matters is a scheme whereby, each month, branches of Waitrose donate £1000 between three local good causes in their specific area.  At the checkout, customers receive a green token which they then place in the box of the good cause that they would like to support.  The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive.

Customers can nominate charities that they would like to see benefit from this scheme, and do this by completing a Community Matters form  - available at all stores – and then returning the completed form to the Welcome Desk at their local Waitrose.

So, many thanks to Yateley Waitrose customers for not only nominating HIOWAA, but for putting so many tokens in ‘our box’.
