At HIOWAA we refer to our volunteers as the backbone of the charity, and this is true.  Without the tireless and dedicated work that our volunteers put into events, talks, collecting boxes, and many other areas of the charity's work, we could not achieve the consistently high standard that we undoubtedly do.

In this part of the site you can find all the information you need about how to become involved in HIOWAA as a volunteer.  We welcome all offers of help, whether a large commitment of time, or a few hours every so often.  We want you to feel that the time you spend with the charity is valued, and that you too gain something from it.  As a new volunteer you will be taken through an induction process which will introduce you to all areas of the charity.  You will be given full training in whichever form of volunteering you choose to do, and you will be supported at all times by the Volunteer Coordinator, Kirsty Watts.

Our volunteers are part of a large and growing family of supporters, and we value each and every one of them.   You can meet some of our wonderful, hard working volunteers here.

If volunteering is something that you would like to do, please get in touch.  Either call Kirsty on 02380 333377, or email on kirsty@hiow-airambulance.org.uk
