We're having a competition to name our air ambulance.

The sun was shining, the food smelt fantastic and there were smiles all around at a BBQ event put on by HIOWAA for their volunteers.
After being based on an event on the Isle of Wight and being called out on 2 missions, the helicopter and it?s air crew of Fraser Rowbotham and Mike Gregory, with pilot Dave Bronniman, came back to the airbase to join the party and have a number of burgers and sausages!
Another highlight of the day came via Volunteer, Phyllida Carr, who had recently raised a large amount of money by jumping out of a plane in a tandem skydive. Presenting a cheque for over a thousand pounds to Barry Lipscomb, Chairman of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, Phyllida said that she would love to do it again. This cheque was from her offline donations, so a huge Thank You to Phyllida!
After the food and presentation, CEO of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, John Perry said ?It was lovely to see so many of our 'Air Ambulance family' together. It is good to meet, to share stories and put names to faces. I think it was safe to say that fun has been had by all and that there are many positives that we can all take away from today?. John also thanked all our supporters for their unstinting efforts in their many and varied ways.
Many Thanks to everyone who attended. It was so good to see you! A Special Thanks to Bond Air Services and the team from the Goodwood Restaurant at Thruxton for purchasing and preparing the lovely food.
Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September.
The Fairground Craft & Design Centre, Weyhill, Andover.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is set to receive a boost from the Michaelmas Fair to be held at Weyhill on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September. The Fair, once described as ?the greatest fair in the land?, was revived last year when over 6500 people enjoyed the vintage pleasure fair, craft demonstrations, Morris Dancing and traction engines.
There will also be a children?s farm, Pugh?s Punch and Judy circus performers, folk singers, other musical entertainment and a number of confectionary stalls to tempt your sweet tooth
Along with the traditional crafts and original fairground rides, the unit holders at the craft centre will be dressed in costume, all helping to create an authentic experience of a bygone age. With most of the attractions under cover, including a picnic area and entertainment dome, even poor weather won?t be able to prevent everyone enjoying themselves and raising money for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance
