You may know that we fund the entire running costs of the HIOWAA helicopter and pilots, receiving no statutory or government funding. We rely solely on the goodwill of people such as yourselves to help raise the £92,000 needed each month to keep the air ambulance service running. We are therefore most grateful for any help we receive. Since becoming operational in July 2007 we have flown over 2385 missions - many of these were life saving.

Please treat all donations I have made to the HAMPSHIRE & ISLE OF WIGHT AIR AMBULANCE since 6 April 2000, and all donations I make from the date of this declaration, until I notify you otherwise, as Gift Aid Donations.

We would like to keep you informed about the activities of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. This may be an occasional newsletter or an occasional email informing you of events and happenings. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act we will assume you are happy to receive such communications. However please tick the boxes below to indicate your preferences.

We can confirm that we never divulge personal data to a third party.

Notes

  1. You can cancel this declaration at anytime by notifying the HAMPSHIRE & ISLE OF WIGHT AIR AMBULANCE.
  2. You must pay an amount of INCOME TAX and / or CAPITAL GAINS TAX at least equal to that which we reclaim on your donation in the tax year - currently 28p for each £1 you donate.
  3. If in future your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and / or capital gains equal to the tax that the HAMPSHIRE & ISLE OF WIGHT AIR AMBULANCE reclaims, you should cancel your declaration; please remember to notify us.
  4. If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment Tax return.
  5. If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, call the HIOWAA office on 023 8033 3377 for more information, or alternatively ask your local tax office for their Leaflet: IR1 13 Gift Aid.

Events
New Forest Show 27.07.2010

Tues 27th to Thurs 29th July.  The Show Ground, New Park, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7QH.  Celebrate the New Forest Show's 90th birthday and this famous agricultural show.  Show jumping is a major feature of the show, and there are international classes throughout all three days.  Livestock competitions, plus poultry show, rabbits, caged birds and honey bees.  Trade stands, arena events, countryside crafts, antiques tent, art tent, flower show, Forestry Commission area, blacksmiths and old time farming.

Navy Summer Extravaganza 30.07.2010

Fri 30th July to Sun 1st Aug.  Don't miss what promises to be one of the most popular events on the south coast this summer.    Navy Days at Portsmouth Naval Base will feature serving warships of the Royal Navy, ships of foreign navies, thrilling naval displays, historical re-enactments, and the world class attractions of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard including HMS Victory.

Balloons Over Basingstoke 06.08.2010

Fri 6th to Sun 8th Aug.  All day.  War Memorial Mark, Crossborough Hill, Basingstoke, RG21 4AG.  Colourful balloons of all shapes and sizes fill the skies above Basingstoke's War Memorial Park during this annual festival.  Take part in workshops, watch performances and browse stalls at this fun, free event.  Weather permitting, there will be a mass balloon take off at 6.00 am and 6.00 pm on the Sat and Sun.
